Woody Analysis

Headshrink So I'm giving my spin of Woody.  It's kind of a continuation of what Snarky wrote on the CR.  (You can find that post HERE).  It's a pretty good arguement.  Overall, I think Woody has been the character that's been all over this season.  It's given him a more three dimensional side...but a what cost??  If they don't pull his 'crazy-ness' together in some convincing way...well I'll be disappointed.  I really want to see him lose it.  He needs a good total freaking out session to get all those pent up emotions from JPF out of him.  I hope we get to see one this season.  That said...here's my take on Woody.

Woody Analysis:  Also discussed recently is the view that Woody has lived his life doing what he ‘thought’ he was supposed to do (being responsible, taking care of his brother, getting a responsible job, falling for a girl, and wanting to get married and have kids and live that perfect ‘American Dream’.) Living by how he thinks the world expects him to live.

Woody has (up to this season) been the 'good boy’. He's followed the fairytale life that we're all supposed to lead. And that fairytale wasn't shattered until JPF. Then his life suddenly changed. He went to the opposite spectrum of someone who's trying to not be who he believes the world thinks he should be. The point: He’s living his life by someone else’s rules/standards. He's got to learn to do things because it's what he wants.
