Sleeping Beauty Review
My review for Sleeping Beauty.
My review for Sleeping Beauty.
Here's my review. Leave me thoughts if you have any :D
Okay A LOT happened in this episode. There was some I liked, some I didn't and some stuff I found interesting. First off this was probably my favorite of the three directing ventures of Miguel Ferrer. The whole was 'fast pace' but each individual scene felt well played out and complete. I liked that. For the first time I didn't feel like I was playing catch up the entire episode. I had enough time to digest each scene before the next hit me.
Okay! Here it is. Things for crazy and I didn't have time to get to this until today. Enjoy. And if you agree or don't agree fo ahead and feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts and opinions.
Time for my thoughts. I have to admit that at first I wasn't sure what I thought of the episode. It has so much of the 'classic' CJ that I love and yet it still was an episode that is a 'piece of the whole'. As I started writing I realized I actually quite enjoyed it.
Okay...so it needs a little work, but it's suitable for now. I won't have time to work on it till next week and I wanted to get it posted before the new episode.
So here you go.
I liked this
episode. I had mixed thoughts after seeing it. After
watching it three more times I still had mixed thoughts,
but I definitely enjoyed the episode.
I felt like there was a ‘how our society see and reacts’
theme (Nate’s story) that portrayed a realistic view. On
the same note the actual case was a
‘non-attention-grabbing’ case and I had guessed the
outcome five minutes into the episode. As Lara says
though, sometimes it’s not about the case, but the theme
or message it portrays. I agree with that, but at the
same time I like to be entertained, kept guessing, feel
some suspense. I loved last week’s episode for that. So
that’s why I’m a bit divided. I loved Nate in this
episode but I felt the episode lacked any real tension.
And I think if it had that tension (along with Nate’s
story) it would have made the episode that much
stronger.
My Review for Someone To Watch Over Me. I know I've been way behind, but work and exams come first. Here it is. Leave me any thoughts you have.

I have to say I
enjoyed both plots of this episode. Jordan’s story seems
to be setting up quite nicely. It’s been mentioned that
in the season finale Jordan reverts back to her season
one self. I wondered how they’d accomplish that (as
Jordan is no longer that person, she’s seen such growth)
but, I can see how bringing her mother’s memory to the
surface is the start of this transformation. I look
forward to seeing her progress…or actually I should say
digress. As for the B plot, it was intriguing and told
in a way that kept us interested. Definitely two solid
plots.
Jordan and Kayla: Maternal Jordan.
Not two words you thought to hear together. And yet
here I am using them together. Now I don’t think Jordan
is ready for ‘kids’. I think Kayla is a bit of an
exception 1) because of the girl’s street smarts (she
hasn’t lived life sheltered) and 2) because of her
unique situation—being very similar to the way Jordan
lost her mom.
